A fire occurred in a hotel in the Sobieszewo area of Gdańsk. A total of twenty people were evacuated from the building. Rescue and firefighting operations have been completed.
According to information provided by the fire service, the incident took place on Wednesday, April 22.
At around 21:15, firefighters received a report of a fire that broke out in one of the hotels in Sobieszewo. According to a representative of the Pomeranian Voivodeship Commander of the State Fire Service, a sauna caught fire.
— Upon arrival at the scene, the fire was confirmed, — reports junior aspirant Dawid Westrzych, spokesperson for the Pomeranian Voivodeship Commander of the State Fire Service. — Eight firefighting units were on site, and firefighters were conducting extinguishing operations.
As the spokesperson adds, an evacuation of the people in the hotel was carried out even before the firefighters arrived.
A total of twenty people left the building. Sixteen of them were hotel guests, and four were staff members.
