The St. Dominic’s Fair in Gdańsk has once again made it into the top ten of the prestigious Forbes European Best Destinations ranking, dedicated to the best summer events in Europe.
To compile the ranking, the publication evaluated 80 events taking place from June to September. Factors such as originality, visitor experiences, cultural significance, visual appeal, reputation, value for money, and international attractiveness were considered in the selection.
The St. Dominic’s Fair ranked 7th, joining leaders alongside events such as the Classical Music Festival in Zagreb (Croatia), the multimedia light and fountain show in the gardens of the Palace of Versailles (France), and the street animation festival in Craiova (Romania).
In 2026, the 766th fair will take place in Gdańsk from July 25 to August 16. It is one of the oldest and largest street events in Europe: it annually gathers hundreds of trade and gastronomic stalls, and the cultural program includes hundreds of concerts, performances, exhibitions, and activities for children.
