From April 17, one of the largest charity streams in the history of Polish internet took place on YouTube for 10 days. It was hosted by the TikToker Łatwogang, and the goal of the broadcast was to support the Cancer Fighters foundation, which helps children and adults with cancer
Initially, it seemed like a simple challenge, but it quickly turned into a real national marathon. Today, the amount raised has already exceeded 227 million zlotys — and continues to grow
The idea started with the song Bedoes 2115 and 11-year-old Maja Mecan’s «Ciągle tutaj jestem,» recorded in support of the foundation. After its release, Łatwogang launched an unusual stream: its duration depended on likes on TikTok — one like equaled one second of broadcast. As a result, the stream stretched over several days and went viral.
Initially, they planned to raise only 500 thousand zlotys, but they reached that amount almost immediately. Major media outlets began to talk about the stream, and celebrities started to join in — both online and in person.
The essence of the marathon is simple yet symbolic: Patryk «Łatwogang» Garkowski listens to the same song non-stop for 9 days, turning his small apartment into the center of a charitable campaign. During this time, the stream has become one of the main events in Polish internet.
The initiative has attracted major stars from sports, music, and show business. Among them are Robert Lewandowski, Adam Małysz, Cezary Pazura, Iga Świątek, Magda Gessler, actors from the series 1670, blogger Książuło, and many others. Some of them are taking symbolic steps — for example, shaving their heads live in solidarity with children undergoing chemotherapy
A separate part of the marathon consists of challenges that motivate viewers to donate. The campaign involves not only internet users: QR codes for donations have even appeared at train stations across Poland and on screens in Żabka stores.
The finale of the stream has been postponed several times — interest remains high, and support continues to grow. In the final hours, children from the foundation came to Łatwogang with their parents, along with Bedoes himself — the very moment from which it all began
