This is an important step for the animals from the "Promyk" shelter. A contract has been signed for the construction of the Gdańsk Cat House — a place that will provide cats with peace, safety, and the best conditions for recovery and preparation for adoption
As part of the investment, a complex of three buildings will be created. They will house a modern veterinary center with diagnostic and procedural facilities. The two-story building for cats will have designated areas for quarantine, isolation, and socialization. An outdoor space is also planned. The area will feature sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, fencing, and technical infrastructure

“It will be a quiet, safe place designed to meet the needs of animals as much as possible — both in terms of veterinary care and their well-being. In the residential area, cats will be able to hide and also enjoy outdoor spaces such as balconies. The veterinary clinic in the new complex will serve not only cats but also other small animals."
The concept of this investment was developed as part of a long-term collaboration with volunteers and social partners united in the «Stakeholder Council».
Access to the shelter is planned from the side of ul. Przyrodników. The value of the signed contract amounts to nearly 13 million zlotys. The implementation of the project will take about 15 months from the date of signing the agreement.
In "Promyk," there are about 150 cats. Many of them, having gone through a difficult experience, need treatment and socialization. This is exactly why the Gdańsk Cat House is being created. The separation of space for dogs and cats will help reduce animal stress, improve sanitary standards, and increase the comfort of staff and volunteer activities
