History of the Crossing
The «Świbno» ferry is a cable ferry, where movement is along a cable stretched between the shores, with a tug providing the pull. The history of the route spans over a century: the first crossings appeared here in 1895 after the creation of a new mouth of the Vistula. The line has been operating in its current form since 1945.
Today, the crossing remains not only an important transport artery but also a part of local history, connecting shores and generations of travelers.
