Police have detained a 33-year-old resident of Gdańsk, from whose apartment they seized several dozen cans of marijuana with a market value of over 25,000 zlotys. The man has been charged with drug possession and is under police supervision.
It all started when officers from the criminal police received information about a 33-year-old man who might be storing drugs at his home
— When the police established the man’s identity and address, they went to check the apartment. Already in the stairwell, they smelled a strong odor of marijuana, — said Senior Asp. Mariusz Chrzanowski from the Gdańsk city police.
According to him, on the landing, the officers encountered the man himself, explained the purpose of their visit, and began the search.
— During the search, the police discovered several dozen cans of marijuana, packets of seeds, and sheets soaked in oil in the apartment. All of this was seized and handed over to an expert for examination, — reported the officer.
After analyzing part of the materials, the expert prepared a report, and the man was charged with drug possession.
He is under police supervision. He faces up to 3 years in prison.
