Starting Monday (May 11), thousands of passengers in Gdańsk may notice changes in their usual routes. ZTM is introducing adjustments to several key bus lines
The new schedules will take effect on Monday and concern routes used daily by thousands of residents. The changes are specific, but in practice, they may affect commutes to work, schools, and transfers at the city’s main transport hubs.
The Gdańsk City Transport Authority has announced changes to the lines: 117, 169, 171, 176, 179, 184, 213, 269, 622.
The adjustments primarily concern departure times on specific sections of the routes. In most cases, these are minor shifts on weekdays, although some changes will also affect weekends.
The reason for the changes was the results of an analysis of the city transport operations and the actual travel times of buses in the most congested areas. This is particularly relevant for Oliwa and the southern districts of Gdańsk, where traffic jams during peak hours regularly impact the punctuality of services.
What exactly will change
Line 117 — adjustments in the Oliwa area
On line 117, on weekdays, the departure time will change on the section from the stop «Archikatedra Oliwska» 01 to «Oliwa» 08 in the direction of Jelitkowo. The rest of the route will remain unchanged.
Lines 169, 171, 179, and 269
Changes will also affect lines 169, 171, 179, and 269. On weekdays, the departure times will be adjusted on the section between the stops «Park Oliwski» 01 and «Oliwa» 08.
The adjustments do not affect the routes in their entirety — they are aimed at improving service regularity and reducing delays during peak hours.
Lines 176 and 213 — morning peak hours
Changes on lines 176 and 213 will be in effect on weekdays from 06:15 to 09:00. Departure times will be adjusted on the section from the stop «Niepołomicka» 01 to the final stop Łostowice Świętokrzyska.
Line 184 — changes for the entire week
On line 184, adjustments will be in effect daily. Departure times from the stop «Traugutta» 04 in the direction of Niedźwiednik to the end of the route will change slightly.
Line 622
Line 622 is also included in the list of changes, but ZTM has not yet specified the details of the adjustments. Passengers are advised to check the current schedule in advance.
