During a check in the Pomeranian Voivodeship, police stopped 35 drivers of scooters and bicycles. One of them — a 17-year-old teenager — was found to be in a state of severe intoxication (almost 1.5 per mille). For this, he was fined 2500 zlotys.
Additionally, he was carrying a passenger on the electric scooter, which is also prohibited, and received another 500 zlotys fine. He will pay another 100 zlotys for insulting the police during the check.
The total amount of fines was 3100 zlotys.
The police remind that riding an electric scooter or bicycle while intoxicated is dangerous and strictly punished. It is also prohibited to carry passengers on scooters, and it is important to behave appropriately during checks.
