On average, costs have increased by 12-22%, calculated Bankier. The main reasons are the rise in fuel prices and the increase in toll road costs in the countries along the route and in Croatia itself.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The calculations are based on dozens of routes from four cities in Poland \u2014 Warszawa, Wroc\u0142aw, Gda\u0144sk, and Krak\u00f3w \u2014 to two popular destinations: Zadar and Split<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Two main routes were compared: through the Czech Republic, Austria, and Slovenia, as well as through the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary. The calculations assume a two-week trip (round trip). Fuel consumption is calculated for the popular car Kia Sportage with an average consumption of 7.5 liters per 100 km.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The fuel prices are based on the maximum prices at gas stations in Poland for the weekend of May 16-17, 2026. Prices may change in the summer. The country also has a program to reduce fuel prices with limits on excise duties and VAT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Additionally, average fuel prices in European countries based on e-petrol data were used. For the return journey, prices in Chorwacja were taken into account. Since in the transit countries \u2014 Czechy, Austria, Slovenia, Slovakia, and Hungary \u2014 gasoline is more expensive than in Poland and Chorwacja, gas stations there may increase the overall cost of the trip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The route from Gda\u0144sk is the most expensive in terms of fuel<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The distance for a trip from Gda\u0144sk to Croatia is about 1550\u20131650 km one way<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fuel expenses:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n\n\n<li>to Zadar: approximately 1540\u20131560 PLN<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>to Split: approximately 1650\u20131670 PLN<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A trip to Croatia by car from different cities in Poland varies significantly in cost. The most expensive route is from Gda\u0144sk \u2014 due to the long distance and fuel consumption. The trip from Warsaw is cheaper, while the most economical option turns out to be departing from Krak\u00f3w, where the distance is shorter and fuel consumption is lower. As a result, the difference in total cost between Gda\u0144sk and Krak\u00f3w can amount to several hundred zlotys.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Toll roads along the way<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the trip, you need to consider toll payments in several countries<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Poland:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n\n\n<li>A1 (Gda\u0144sk \u2013 Toru\u0144): about 29.90 PLN one way<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Czech Republic \/ Slovakia \/ Hungary \/ Austria \/ Slovenia<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n\n\n<li>total toll package for a round trip: approximately 280\u2013310 PLN (depending on the chosen route)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can choose the route through: Czechy, Austria, and S\u0142owenia or Czechy, S\u0142owacja, and W\u0119gry. Both options are similar in cost but differ in travel time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In Croatia itself, there are also toll highways, and payment is made at entry\/exit points<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Expenses:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n\n\n<li>to Zadar: about 100\u2013107 PLN one way<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>to Split: about 140\u2013142 PLN one way<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Total cost of the trip from Gda\u0144sk<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To Zadar (round trip): approximately 2100\u20132110 PLN<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To Split (round trip): approximately 2300\u20132305 PLN<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The trip from Gda\u0144sk to Croatia by car has noticeably become more expensive due to rising fuel prices and toll roads.
