Starting in 2027, parents will no longer have to submit applications annually \u2014 the new rules are intended to simplify the process and ensure continuity of payments<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The reform of the &#171;Rodzina 800+&#187; program will be a noticeable relief for parents: the need to regularly submit documents, contact ZUS, and keep track of application deadlines will disappear. The changes are being prepared in response to family requests and as part of the further digitalization of public services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to &#171;Gazeta Prawna,&#187; starting in 2027, the application for the benefit will need to be submitted only once \u2014 at the birth of the child or upon returning from abroad. Subsequently, ZUS will automatically extend payments based on the available data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Automatic extensions should reduce the risk of losing benefits due to missed deadlines or formal errors, as well as decrease bureaucratic burden and simplify interactions with the agency<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the same time, the system will operate on the condition that family data remains current. Parents will retain the ability to make changes to personal information, and in the absence of corrections, payments will be extended automatically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Currently, applications must be submitted annually; otherwise, the right to the benefit may be lost. After the reform, only one application for the child will be sufficient \u2014 further administration will be handled by ZUS, ensuring continuity of payments and reducing the risk of errors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to &#171;Gazeta Prawna,&#187; the government plans to adopt the bill in the second quarter of 2026. The new rules are expected to come into effect for the 2027\/2028 payment period, starting from June 1, 2027. ZUS is already preparing technical adaptations of its systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meanwhile, society remains divided in its assessment of the 800+ program. A survey conducted for &#171;Super Express&#187; by the Pollster institute showed differing views on the potential linkage of the benefit to parents&#8217; employment activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">44% of respondents believe that after losing a job, payments should continue, but on the condition of registration with the employment service. 32% support unconditional provision of 800+ to all parents. 13% favor complete cessation of payments after job loss, while 12% are undecided.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The government is preparing significant changes to the 800+ payment system.
