A total of over 2,000 points in the city and 20 directions were analyzed \u2014 work, education, services, and leisure.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The results of the analysis were unequivocal. The median public transport journey took 54 minutes. For cars, it was 27 minutes. As a result, the median value of the CTI index for the entire Gda\u0144sk reached a level of 1.98. This means that for a typical city resident, the daily journey by public transport now takes about twice as long as a journey by car.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the authors of the analysis, this means not just a weak urban transport system, but a complete loss of the ability to function effectively without a car<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The authors of the study point out that the problem affects not only the most remote areas. Approximately 35% of residents live in areas where a trip by public transport takes more than twice as long as by car.
