Due to the alcohol sales ban in Gda\u0144sk from 10 PM, the format of «alcohol tourism» is paradoxically gaining popularity in the city. This refers to tourist trips in electric meyleks with unlimited beer and parties on cruises along the Mot\u0142awa River. These activities are actively promoted on tourist platforms and are primarily aimed at foreign groups, including bachelor party formats.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Formally, there are restrictions on alcohol sales; however, according to residents of the city center, this has little impact on tourist formats. They complain that the historic center is increasingly turning into a space for nightlife with noise, drunken groups, and a change in the usual urban atmosphere<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is particularly noticeable in the center of Gda\u0144sk, where, as locals note, the entertainment function of the city is gradually dominating over its cultural role. Residents speak of an increase in the number of drunken tourist groups and link this to the development of event tourism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One resident describes the situation as follows<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBeer stacks on board the meyleks, music like at a festival, shouting and drinking while driving. Total impunity on weekends\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

W\u0142adze miasta przyznaj\u0105 istnienie problemu. Po konsultacjach spo\u0142ecznych dotycz\u0105cych Parku Kulturowego G\u0142\u00f3wnego Miasta, ponad 90% uczestnik\u00f3w wyrazi\u0142o poparcie dla regulacji dzia\u0142alno\u015bci meylek\u00f3w. W\u015br\u00f3d kluczowych skarg znajduj\u0105 si\u0119 chaotyczny ruch, parkowanie oraz rozrywkowy charakter transportu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The city hall announces an increase in police and municipal guard patrols and is also considering reducing the number of permits for such transport.
