Belarusians and Ukrainians have become the most numerous foreigners choosing Pomerania for permanent residence in 2025. Moreover, most arrive with families and children, according to a report from the Central Statistical Office of Poland (GUS).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2025, around 1,500 foreign citizens registered for permanent residence in the Pomeranian Voivodeship. During the same period, about 800 foreigners left the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most new residents of the region are foreigners. The most common newcomers to Pomorskie are Belarusians, who make up 22.8% of the total arrivals, and Ukrainians (20.2%). They are followed by citizens of Germany (15.3%) and the United Kingdom (13.6%).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The age structure of immigration shows that many foreigners are moving to the region with their families. The most numerous among the newcomers are children aged 5\u20139 years, as well as toddlers aged 0\u20134 years. This indicates that many view Pomorze not as a place for temporary work, but as a region for permanent residence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is also a reverse trend. Among residents who left Pomorze and moved abroad, the most common age group is 40\u201344 years old (14% of emigrants), as well as youth aged 15\u201319 (13.7%). The main destinations for emigration from the region remain Germany and the United Kingdom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Internal migration remains primary<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most new residents of the region still come from other voivodeships in Poland. In 2025, 9,500 people relocated to Pomorskie, mostly from the Warmian-Masurian (23.3%), Kuyavian-Pomeranian (15.6%), Masovian (13.8%), and West Pomeranian (9.2%) voivodeships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Pomeranian Voivodeship remains one of the most attractive regions in Poland for relocation, second only to the Masovian Voivodeship in this regard.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
