A new route for hiking enthusiasts has appeared in Europe. The Wolf Trail connects the Polish Baltic Sea coast with the Italian city of Trieste on the Adriatic Sea. It spans nearly 3,500 kilometers and passes through six countries: Poland, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Slovenia, and Italy.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The complete route is designed to take several months: experienced travelers will need about four to six months<\/strong>. During this time, tourists will cover tens of thousands of meters of ascents \u2014 the route includes both flat sections and challenging mountain crossings through the Alps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the Baltic to the Alps<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The journey begins on the Polish Hel Peninsula. The first section, approximately 428 kilometers<\/strong> long, runs along the Baltic Sea coast to \u015awinouj\u015bcie. Then the trail leads through Germany towards Central Europe, connecting forests, small towns, and natural areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the longest stages of the route \u2014 nearly 1930 kilometers<\/strong> \u2014 passes through various European landscapes: from flat areas to mountainous regions. Next, travelers will encounter a section through the Allg\u00e4u Alps, approximately 392 kilometers<\/strong> long, which leads the route to the Austrian city of Innsbruck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The final part takes place along the famous Via Alpina<\/strong> \u2014 through the Italian Dolomites and the Slovenian Triglav National Park. The endpoint is Trieste, where after a long trek, travelers reach the Adriatic Sea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Wolf Trail combines existing European tourist trails into a single route. The project is created as part of the development of the thru-hiking<\/strong> format \u2014 multi-month hikes during which travelers walk the entire path from start to finish, independently planning their overnight stays and resupplying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
