They note that hate speech increasingly leads to verbal and physical attacks on citizens of Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Deputies proposed to launch a nationwide information campaign based on data from the Central Statistical Office (GUS), which shows that Ukrainians are actively working, paying taxes, and are an important part of the Polish economy<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Moreover, the authorities of Sopot have called on the state to decisively counter xenophobic and nationalist rhetoric, which, as stated in the document, may be fueled by external forces interested in destabilizing Poland<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The resolution was prompted by the increase in hate crimes. According to the Polish police, 180 such cases were recorded in the first half of the year against Ukrainian citizens \u2014 more than 30% higher than the previous year.
