A loud political scandal is unfolding in Poland following an attack on a Ukrainian couple in Wroc\u0142aw. Prime Minister Donald Tusk made a strong statement at a Cabinet meeting and directly addressed President Karol Nawrocki, accusing some politicians of creating an atmosphere that fosters aggression towards foreigners<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Wroc\u0142aw, a man and a woman \u2014 citizens of Ukraine \u2014 were brutally beaten. The police have detained two suspects aged 27 and 45. The investigation is checking whether the incident had a nationalist motive<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tusk emphasized that such crimes strike not only at the victims but also at Poland's international reputation<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAttacks on Ukrainians are a disgrace for Poland,\u201d said the Prime Minister.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He noted that in recent months, aggressive statements directed at migrants and Ukrainians have increasingly been heard in public spaces, and politicians must clearly and unequivocally condemn violence<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The most resonant part of the speech was the direct address to the Prezydent Polski.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI am directly addressing President Karol Nawrocki to stop remaining silent on this issue,\u201d said Tusk<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the head of the government, the silence of high-ranking officials in a situation concerning attacks on people because of their origin is perceived as a lack of a clear position from the state<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tusk linked the attack to radical sentiments<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Prime Minister also criticized the activities of individuals associated with the federation GROMDA<\/strong>, which organizes bare-knuckle fights. One of the detained individuals, according to Polish media reports, may have ties to this circle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his opinion, such calls can contribute to the radicalization of part of society and provoke people to violent actions<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What the opposition says<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Representatives of PiS rejected accusations of inciting hatred. They stated that they advocate for stricter migration control and enhanced security measures, but do not support violence against Ukrainians or other foreigners<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Supporters of Nawrocki believe that Tusk is attempting to exploit the tragic incident for a political attack on the president and the opposition<\/p>\n\n\n\n
