In one of the messages, the incident was referred to as &#171;service work,&#187; and the death of the sharks was called &#171;vacation.&#187; Following criticism from authorities and residents, the aquapark announced the termination of its cooperation with the advertising agency that prepared the publications.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Let us remind you that on Sunday, July 26, a technical accident occurred at the water park in R\u0119biechowo, which affected the inhabitants of the aquarium. As reported by the representatives of the water park in an official statement, some fish, including sharks, died. The cause was a technical error: a maintenance staff member accidentally mixed sodium hypochlorite with sulfuric acid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The situation outraged local residents. The mayor of R\u0119da, Mateusz Richert, demanded a full explanation from the owner of the facility regarding the incident, including shortcomings in communication about the accident on July 26 concerning the fate of the animals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The announcement from the water park caused outrage, as it referred to the accident as &quot;maintenance work&quot; and described the death of the sharks with the phrase &quot;sharks on vacation&quot;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The city authorities sent official letters to the companies demanding explanations for the accident and the death of fish, as well as to provide the results of tests confirming the safety of the equipment and the readiness of the facility to continue operations<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Until explanations are received, cooperation with the water park as a partner in city programs, including the maintenance of the Resident Card, is suspended. The mayor noted that according to the State Fire Service, there are currently no recorded threats to people&#039;s health<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The water park responded to the statement from the city authorities.
