The largest group \u2014 1.55 million people \u2014 consists of citizens of Ukraine, reported Katarzyna Siwak from the Office for Foreigners. Foreigners most often choose cities for living.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to data from the Office for Foreigners (UdSC), the main form of legal stay remains temporary protection (UKR status), granted based on the executive decision of the EU Council. Currently, it is used by 961 thousand people, of which 958 thousand are citizens of Ukraine. Among those registered in the PESEL system under the special law, about 83% are women and children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As noted by Katarzyna Siwak, a total of 2 million foreigners hold valid residence permits in Poland. The largest group consists of citizens of Ukraine \u2014 1.55 million people<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A significant portion is also represented by citizens:<br>Belarus \u2014 139.3 thousand people,<br>India \u2014 26.1 thousand,<br>Georgia \u2014 22.2 thousand,<br>Russia \u2014 19.5 thousand,<br>Vietnam \u2014 15.1 thousand,<br>Turkey \u2014 14.5 thousand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">758,000 cudzoziemc\u00f3w posiada tymczasowe zezwolenia na pobyt, a g\u0142\u00f3wnym deklarowanym celem ich pobytu jest praca. W mi\u0119dzyczasie 191,000 os\u00f3b ma zezwolenia na sta\u0142y pobyt oraz status d\u0142ugoterminowego rezydenta UE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Foreigners most often settle in regions with a high level of urbanization.
