The 14th city campaign «Rowerem do pracy i szko\u0142y \u2013 Kr\u0119\u0107 Kilometry dla Gda\u0144ska» has started in Gda\u0144sk. Until November 30, residents of the city can ride their bikes to work, school, and for everyday errands, earn points, compete, and win prizes.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Autumn in Gda\u0144sk will once again be marked by bicycles. Starting from September 1, the city’s residents can join the campaign \u201cKr\u0119\u0107 Kilometry dla Gda\u0144ska\u201d<\/strong> and turn their regular trips around the city into a sports competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The promotion will last until November 30, 2026<\/strong>. Participants only need to register in the Activy<\/strong> app, which tracks trips and awards points for them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Points \u2014 for trips around the city<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Participants earn points for bike rides, and additional points can be earned for routes home \u2014 work, school, or university<\/strong>. The system allows for competition both individually and in teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The campaign can involve not only individual residents. Teams are created by companies, schools, universities, and other institutions<\/strong>, so the competition takes place at several levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The accumulated points can be exchanged in the app for ActiveCoiny<\/strong> \u2014 a special currency of the campaign, which can be used to obtain bicycle accessories and other rewards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can not only compete but also help animals<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The campaign also has a charitable component. Participants can direct the accumulated ActiveCoins to a special donation for the Gda\u0144sk shelter PROMYK<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In previous campaigns, the residents of the city have already helped the shelter in this way. Just last year, over 34 thousand zlotys<\/strong> were raised in support of it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prizes \u2014 not just for the fastest<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The organizers have prepared awards for the most active participants and teams. This year, there is also a recommendation system<\/strong>: additional benefits can be obtained by inviting friends, relatives, and colleagues to the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The competition also extends to organizations. Companies and universities can apply for the European Cycling-Friendly Employer Certificate<\/strong> \u2014 a certificate for employers that supports bicycle mobility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Separate awards are provided for schools, and the winning districts of Gda\u0144sk will be able to receive new bicycle racks<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gda\u0144sk has already traveled millions of kilometers<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The scale of the event is growing year by year. In 2024, 6,895 people<\/strong> actively participated, covering a total of more than 4.2 million kilometers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the organizers’ calculations, these trips managed to avoid approximately 567 tons of CO\u2082 emissions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
