This is part of the state program CPN. Authorities emphasize that the measure is temporary. It is related to the instability in the fuel market due to the conflict in the Middle East and the situation around the Strait of Hormuz.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The VAT rate on gasoline, diesel, and biofuels has been reduced from 23% to 8%. Initially, the order was supposed to be in effect until the end of April, but it has now been extended for at least until May 15.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The reduction of excise duty on fuel has also been extended until the same date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Currently, the excise duty is at the minimum level allowed in the EU:<br>\u2014 29 groszy per liter of gasoline<br>\u2014 28 groszy per liter of diesel<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The program also includes maximum prices for fuel. These are published every working day. The price takes effect the day after publication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If the announcement is made before the weekend or holidays, the price is valid until the next working day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Selling fuel above the established price may result in a fine of up to 1 million zlotys.
