The seasonal EIC train "Jantar" is once again hitting the Polish rails, connecting Warsaw, Tr\u00f3jmiasto, and the Hel Peninsula. Starting from May 1, passengers will be able to travel to this popular resort destination, and in the following weeks of May, the train will operate on weekends \u2014 on Saturdays and Sundays.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the May holidays, the train will depart from Warsaw at 7:49 AM and arrive in Hel at 1:28 PM. The return trip is scheduled for 4:20 PM, arriving back in the capital at 9:35 PM. In Tricity, the train makes stops, including in Gda\u0144sk (10:43 AM), and passes through I\u0142awa, Malbork, Tczew, Sopot, Gdynia, W\u0142adys\u0142awowo, Jastarnia, and Jurata.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ticket Prices<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A trip from Tricity to Hel will cost approximately 73 zlotys in second class and 99 zlotys in first class. The price is the same for Gda\u0144sk, Gdynia, and Sopot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to high demand during the May holidays, PKP Intercity is reinforcing its trains: additional carriages are planned to be added to nearly 120 of the most popular domestic and international trains. The carrier will monitor occupancy and increase the number of seats if necessary<\/p>\n\n\n\n

«Jantar»<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The «Jantar» train has already made history. In 2025, it reached a speed of 200 km\/h on a regular service, setting two world records:
\u2014 the longest passenger train at that speed \u2014 about 390 meters;
\u2014 the heaviest \u2014 up to 877 tons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The "Jantar" first hit the route back in 1988, and after a short break, it returned on a permanent basis in 1993. Since then, it has been delivering passengers to the Baltic coast every year, remaining one of the most recognizable seasonal trains in Poland<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
