However, during inspections, it was discovered that the facility is in significantly worse condition than expected and requires a major renovation.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The selection of the contractor and the work itself may take at least a year. The project&#039;s cost is estimated at several million zlotys. The renovation is planned to start in the fall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The rest of the pier remains open for walks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2014 This section is safe, so there is no point in closing the entire pier in the middle of the season, \u2014 noted the spokesperson of the Gdynia City Hall, Tomasz Z\u0142oto\u015b.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Authorities emphasize that the condition of the structure is constantly monitored.
