The reduction of VAT and excise taxes is costly for the state; however, the government considers these measures an important way to curb inflation<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meanwhile, against the backdrop of rising energy prices caused by the tense situation in the Middle East, new steps are being discussed. In particular, there is talk of introducing a tax on the excess profits of energy companies. As Motyka reported, the corresponding draft law is already being developed in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Back in late April, the Minister of Finance estimated the potential revenue from such a tax at more than 4 billion zlotys.
