Ivona Wieczorek, a young resident of Gda\u0144sk, went missing in July 2010. In the evening, she was hanging out with friends at clubs in Sopot, and then in the early morning, she walked home along the coastal promenade. At some point, her trail disappeared. Recently, there has been a breakthrough in the case.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ivona Wieczorek went missing on the night of July 16 to 17, 2010, in the Tricity area \u2014 between Sopot and Gda\u0144sk. She was 19 years old. She was walking home after a night spent with friends at clubs in Sopot. She was very close to home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The last confirmed sighting of Ivona was captured by a surveillance camera around 4:12 AM. She is seen walking in the coastal area near the entrance to beach No. 63 in Gda\u0144sk-\u017beliwna. About 2\u20132.5 kilometers remain to her home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After that \u2014 silence. No confirmed witnesses, no recordings, no found items that could help reconstruct her path.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ivona was walking along a road she knew well \u2014 a popular coastal promenade used by locals. This is why her disappearance is so difficult to explain: she was almost at her destination, in an area where there could theoretically have been people, light, and cameras.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The investigation established that between the last camera recording and the subsequent route, there is a «gap.» This is a section where there are no direct observation records or reliable evidence. It is in this gap that Ivona disappears.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the key elements of the case is the girl’s mobile phone. It was detected on the network for some time after her disappearance, but then it stopped sending signals. The device has never been found.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the investigation, this is one of the most significant dead ends: there are no messages, no geolocation data, no final signal that could indicate the location of the incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite extensive searches conducted by the police from the very beginning, the collection of numerous pieces of evidence, and the development of several theories, it is still unknown what exactly happened: whether she was murdered, abducted, or chose to disappear and start a new life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This mysterious case has been attempted to be solved multiple times \u2014 investigators, journalists, and even psychics have been involved. Interest in it remains very high: the public closely follows any new materials, articles, books, podcasts, and investigations that may shed light on the disappearance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the years of investigation, various scenarios have been considered:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Recently, new facts regarding the disappearance of Ivona Wieczorek have come to light. According to the prosecutor, the investigation has received an expert opinion that aids in further work. This concerns the possible discovery of Ivona Wieczorek’s body.
