In Gdańsk, a city bus driver from Belarus and a shipyard worker from Ukraine came to the aid of an elderly couple who were attacked by an aggressive man. They provided assistance to the victims and held the attacker until the police arrived
The incident occurred in July at Węzeł Kliniczna. An elderly couple was heading to the hospital for an examination when an unknown man attacked them. He struck the woman on the head with a bottle and pushed her husband into the roadway.
A witness to the attack was Ruslan, a worker from a shipyard in Ukraine. He was the first to rush to help the couple. He was joined by Boris Matwieczuk — a city bus driver who came to Poland from Belarus.
The men not only helped the victims but also detained the attacker until the police arrived

Borys Matwiejczuk works as a driver for bus number 283, which runs between Węzeł Kliniczna and Niedźwiednik. The route passes near the Uniwersyteckie Centrum Kliniczne, so it is often used by hospital patients
After the incident, Mrs. Grażyna, the injured woman, contacted GAiT and asked to convey her gratitude to Boris from herself and her husband. In the letter, she expressed her deep respect for his help and humane act
