One Minute Film Festival

The one-minute film festival in Gdańsk once again proves that cinema doesn’t have to be long to be powerful — from May 7 to 10, audiences can look forward to screenings, workshops, competition programs, and meetings with creators. A complete program has been gathered.

Millennium Docs Against Gravity — documentary film festival

From May 8 to 17, Millennium Docs Against Gravity will once again take place in Gdynia — one of the most important documentary film festivals in Europe. The program includes films about searches, losses, and discoveries, meetings with authors, and competitive screenings, as well as a large-scale program that brings together audiences from all over Poland and abroad.

Open-air cinema in Gdańsk 

In the Nowy Port district of Gdańsk, free outdoor movie screenings will take place. KinoPort is returning with classics and new films that are best enjoyed on the big screen. The program includes everything from family movies to festival and award-winning films.

Classical Music Festival

Gdańsk Music Festival — one of the largest classical music events in the region. The festival features concerts of symphonic, chamber, and solo music, as well as performances by choirs and vocalists

Ogród & Wielka Majówka Fair

The Ogród & Wielka Majówka fair will take place in Gdynia — a major event for gardening, nature, and picnic enthusiasts. On four themed glades, guests can expect garden fairs, plants, tools, gastronomy, culinary workshops, and entertainment for the whole family

Historical Picnic 

Guests can look forward to the reconstruction of the historic town featuring Garnizon Gdańsk, artillery displays, dances, music, and interactive activities

Tours in Gdańsk and Sopot

“We will learn to understand the history of landscape design and the fashionable trends in park art of the past. And, of course, we will admire the already blooming nature and enjoy the true Gdańsk spring in pleasant company. We will also visit the famous Oliwa Cathedral, find out what makes it so renowned, and listen to the ancient organs. We will take a look at the Opatów Palace and the granaries around it,” announce the organizers.

“During the tour, we will not only walk along the famous Monte Cassino but also explore less touristy yet very interesting places in Sopot: we will look at the old Norwegian baths, see the preserved villas in the Secession (Art Nouveau) style, learn about the rules of resort leisure from the early 20th century, visit the oldest house in Sopot, find out where and how to properly drink mineral waters, and discover a secret rooftop café with a story,” say the organizers. Family Circus Workshops

W Gdańsku odbędą się "Warsztaty Cyrkowe dla Rodzin" — świetna oferta dla tych, którzy kochają aktywny i kreatywny wypoczynek. Uczestnicy poznają podstawowe umiejętności cyrkowe: będą mogli nauczyć się żonglowania, spróbować utrzymać równowagę i kręcić talerzami jak prawdziwi cyrkowcy.

Gdańsk Juwenalia 2026

The Juwenalia will take place in Gdańsk — one of the main student music events of the year. Two days of concerts, a festival atmosphere, and large-scale student integration will unfold at Placu Zebrań Ludowych. The organizers promise a rich program featuring artists from various genres — from rock and pop to hip-hop.

Additionally, on May 11, from 14:30 to 16:00, there will be a student march. It will start from Dwór Artusa.

Light and Color Workshops at Hevelianum

At Hevelianum, dzieci są zaproszone do twórczych zajęć, gdzie nauka spotyka się z zabawą. Uczestnicy dowiedzą się, czym jest kolor i jak powstaje, będą eksperymentować z mieszaniem światła i farb oraz sprawdzą, czy dają ten sam rezultat. Będą mieli również okazję stworzyć niezwykłe prace, które świecą w ciemności.

Enrique Iglesias Concert

Enrique Iglesias — jeden z najsłynniejszych artystów na światowej scenie pop, wystąpi na jedynym koncercie w Polsce, a jego pierwszym w Europie w 2026 roku. Muzyk, znany z hitów takich jak "Hero," "Bailando" i "Escape," wystąpi na scenie w Gdańsku 9 maja.

Sailing Regattas 

The Sailing Factory Cup 2026 sailing regatta will take place in Gdańsk — an event that annually gathers participants from all over Poland. The competition will be held in the waters of Gdańska Zatoka, with the main base at the marina in Górki Zachodnie.

At least 150 sailors and around 30 yachts are expected to participate. The crews will compete in both up & down format races and longer distances. The regatta office will start operating on May 8.

Equestrian Competitions

Odbędzie się drugi etap spektakularnych zawodów w skokach przez przeszkody. W arenie wystąpią zarówno doświadczeni jeźdźcy, jak i młodzi sportowcy, dla których jest to jeden z pierwszych startów.

Educational tram in the streets of Gdańsk 

On Sunday, May 10, "A Streetcar Named Desire" will take to the streets of Gdańsk — an educational campaign dedicated to the prevention of HIV, AIDS, and other sexually transmitted infections

Inicjatywa jest realizowana przez studentów medycyny z IFMSA-Polska i odbywa się w formie specjalnego darmowego tramwaju. Na trasie pasażerom towarzyszyć będą wolontariusze, którzy przekażą informacje na temat profilaktyki, ryzyk, możliwości anonimowego testowania oraz nowoczesnych metod leczenia.

Na tramwaju odbędą się również quizy z nagrodami, a dostępne będą materiały edukacyjne — wszystko w otwartej i przyjaznej atmosferze przy muzycznym akompaniamencie.

Board Game Evenings at Plama GAK

Organ Music Concert

Katedra Oliwska boasts three instruments: the famous large organ, the organ in the transept, and the positive organ — a small instrument in the arch of the side nave.

MIETO.80 — free exhibition at Zbrojownia Sztuki

The MIETO.80 exhibition showcases the work of a painter, a professor of fine arts, who has been associated with the Akademia Sztuk Pięknych w Gdańsku for many years

Mieczysław Konrad Olszewski (“Mieto”) is involved in painting, illustration, graphics, and sculpture using ready-made objects. He has also created posters, theater programs, invitations, and set design.

Summer Ethnographic Fair

A new season of the fair opens in front of the Oddział Etnografii MNG in Oliwa Park. Here you can find products from folk artisans from Kaszuby, Kociewie, Powiśle, and Żuławy, as well as crafts and artistic products. Demonstrations of traditional crafts and folk art are held. There is regional cuisine.

Flea Market in Oliwa 

The opening of the new season of the flea market in Oliwa. The idea remains the same — zero waste: selling and buying items that can have a second life. You can find clothes, books, records, antiques, toys, and decor.

Yoga at 100czni

The seasonal Joga na 100czni is returning. Throughout the season, every Saturday starts with a group workout. The level of fitness does not matter — everyone is welcome on the mat. In case of rain, the classes will take place in the covered space of 100czni Inside.

Free Museums in Gdańsk, Sopot, and Gdynia

Ferry to the Vistula Spit

Since May 1, the ferry from Gdańsk's Świbno to Mikoszewo in the Stegna municipality has resumed operations. This is a convenient and quick way to get from Gdańsk towards Krynica Morska, shortening the route by 23 kilometers

From May 1 to September 30, the ferry operates daily from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM. In standard mode, departures occur every 30 minutes. However, during peak hours, the service switches to continuous operation to transport all interested passengers. The specified time refers to departures from Świbno.

Estimated rates for the 2026 season:
— passenger car — 30 zlotys (for locals — 15 zlotys, passengers included);
— camper or minibus — 35 zlotys (for locals — 17.5 zlotys);
— motorcycle — 15 zlotys (for locals — 7.5 zlotys);
— bicycle — 10 zlotys (for locals — 5 zlotys);
— pedestrian — 5 zlotys (for locals — 2.5 zlotys);
— bus — 200 zlotys (for locals — 100 zlotys);
— freight transport and trailers are charged at separate rates.
