Today (May 12), the prosecutor’s office began an investigation into allegations of sexual harassment during a trip of students from the Non-Public Primary School in Pszytoki. This concerns a language camp in southern Poland. The director of the institution left the trip before its completion and later took his own life.
The editorial office of Dziennik Bałtycki received a letter (which was also sent to the police and the educational authority) detailing the incident involving the school director that occurred during the April language camp in southern Poland — at the hotel where students from grades 6 to 8 (about 30 people) and teachers were staying
After this "incident," the director, who was the trip leader, left and returned to Pszytoki by train. The other educators wrote a memo, but the local police were not called. Despite this, the trip continued for another day (including a visit to Energylandia)
School Meetings, Director’s Suicide
According to Dziennik Bałtycki, on April 21, a meeting was held at the school in Pszytoki with the participation of the deputy director, a psychologist, and an educator, where the "incident" was discussed
On the morning of April 22, an internal school committee meeting with the director was supposed to take place to clarify the circumstances. However, the director was already dead
Investigation
According to available information, the director left a suicide note explaining his motives. He had also previously deleted his social media accounts.
At the request of the prosecutor, the police conducted an inspection of the apartment, interrogated family members, and carried out other urgent procedural actions. No evidence of third-party involvement in the death was found, so no case was opened. The director’s funeral took place on April 25.
Policja województwa pomorskiego zbierała informacje na temat "incydentu" podczas podróży. Materiały zostały przekazane do prokuratury w Miastku, a następnie — zgodnie z właściwością terytorialną — do prokuratury rejonowej w Nowym Targu. Do prokuratury wysłano również pismo dotyczące tej sprawy.
