Gdańsk has once again become a filming location: the city’s streets have transformed into Czechoslovakia in 1979

One of the most sought-after locations among filmmakers remains the Gdańsk district of Biskupia Górka. Its historical architecture, ancient streets, and unique atmosphere regularly attract creators of films and series. The area has repeatedly served as a backdrop for various film projects

A few weeks ago, the third season of the series "Zatoka szpiegów" was filmed here, and now Biskupia Górka has once again transformed into a film set. This time, the Gdańsk alleys are portraying a city in former Czechoslovakia for the film "Opowieści Złotego Wieku — Układ Warszawski" ("Tales of the Golden Age — Warsaw Pact")

Filming of the new movie is taking place in several locations across Tricity. The crew has worked in the Zaspa and Oliwa districts, on the grounds of the former Gdańsk shipyard, as well as in downtown Gdynia — on Starowiejska Street and in the Hala Targowa area

One of the main filming locations has been Biskupia Górka. Thanks to its preserved historical architecture, this area allows for the creation of the atmosphere of European cities from the second half of the 20th century without extensive changes to the set

According to information that surfaced during the crew's work, the film will take place in 1979. One clue was a newspaper spotted with one of the extras on set. However, the creators of the project have not yet revealed which city in Czechoslovakia Trójmiasto will be portraying.

The filming of the movie is expected to conclude on July 14.
