This weekend, the St. Dominic's Fair will kick off in Gdańsk, bringing thousands of residents and tourists to the city. To simplify access to the center and reduce road congestion, the authorities have prepared several special parking areas that will operate throughout the fair.
The main one is the Park & Ride parking at Plac Zebrań Ludowych. It will open on July 26 and operate until August 17, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The parking is located about 1.5 kilometers from the fairgrounds and is suitable for those arriving by car from outside the city center.
Koszt wynosi 25 złotych dla turystów i 20 złotych dla posiadaczy Karty Mieszkańca. Cena obejmuje przejazd tramwajem w obie strony dla grupy do pięciu osób na trasie Brama Oliwska — Brama Wyżynna, Hucisko lub Nowe Ogrody. Umożliwia to szybki dojazd do centrum targów bez tracenia czasu na szukanie miejsca parkingowego w samym centrum Gdańska. An alternative option is the Gdańsk covered parking (parking kubaturowy) at ulicy Okopowej 29, very close to the fair. It is free on weekends, making it a convenient solution for visitors to the city
Przygotowano osobne miejsca parkingowe dla mieszkańców strefy ograniczonego ruchu. Łącznie są cztery takie lokalizacje: na ul. Rycerskiej (od 13 lipca do 22 sierpnia), na ul. Lawendowej (od 24 lipca do 22 sierpnia), na Podwalu Staromiejskim od Targu Drzewnego do ul. Podmłyńskiej (od 25 lipca do 16 sierpnia) oraz przy Domu Technika NOT (od 16 lipca do 18 sierpnia).
Owners of a valid IGM identifier, FGM sector subscription, or Jarmark Identifier can use the parking lots on ul. Rycerskiej, Lawendowej, and Podwalu Staromiejskim. The parking at Domu Technika NOT is exclusively for holders of the Jarmark Identifier, which is issued by the event organizer.
The organizers recommend choosing public transport whenever possible. During the fair, traffic organization in the center of Gdańsk will change, and the number of parking spaces in the city center will remain severely limited. The Park & Ride parking allows you to leave your car outside the center and conveniently reach one of the largest street events in Europe by tram.
