An unexpected scene occurred on the evening of August 9 at the St. Dominic’s Fair in Gdańsk. Several police cars, security, and a crowd of people gathered near one of the pizzerias. It turned out that the President of Poland, Karol Nawrocki, was dining inside.
Około 20:40 szef państwa opuścił pizzerię w towarzystwie ochrony. Jednak zamiast od razu wsiąść do samochodu, zatrzymał się przed zebranymi.
Navrocki rozmawiał z ludźmi przez około dziesięć minut, uścisnął ręce kilku uczciwym odwiedzającym i robił zdjęcia. Prezydent był również zainteresowany, skąd przybyli uczestnicy i czy są w Gdańsku na wakacjach.
One of the participants at the meeting asked a particularly unexpected question:
— Mr. President, was the pizza tasty?
— Very tasty, — replied Nawrocki.
After that, the president continued to greet people and only after a few minutes headed to the car. On the way, he stopped several more times, waved to the crowd, and took photos.
Soon the presidential convoy left the fair, and the gathered crowd gradually dispersed
