The pedestrian-bicycle bridge on Ołowianka in the center of Gdańsk is back in regular operation. Since August 1, after a month and a half of repairs, it has resumed its summer opening schedule.
The span lifting mechanism broke down on June 16. The bridge remained open for pedestrians and cyclists, but due to the malfunction, yachts and other large vessels could not pass through the Motława.
During the Jarmark św. Dominika, this turned out to be convenient for visitors — the crossing did not close for the drawbridge. However, navigation in this section was practically paralyzed.
The city services reported that the repair of the mechanism is complete, so starting from August 1, the bridge will be raised according to the schedule again
From 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, the bridge opens at 9:00 AM and then every hour on the half-hour until the next hour (9:30–10:00, 10:30–11:00, and so on until 6:30–7:00 PM). At other times, the bridge will open upon request of vessels.
The authorities remind that the schedule may change due to strong winds or other adverse weather conditions
