The company Portman Lights from Gdynia provided lighting equipment for the filming of the movie «The Devil Wears Prada 2». Their lamps became part of the scene design in the sequel to the cult film. This is not the company’s first experience in film and series — previously, their lighting was used in the Netflix series «Wednesday».
The lighting equipment brand Portman Lights once again confirms that its design is appreciated abroad. The small company from Gdynia has made it into the second part of the movie «The Devil Wears Prada» — one of the most anticipated fashion premieres.
Before this, lamps from Gdynia had already been used at the largest music events in the world. Their portfolio includes the finals of «Mam Talent», «America’s Got Talent», «X-Factor», «American Idol», as well as «The Voice» shows in Germany, Spain, and the Netherlands. They also worked on «Eurovision» in Lisbon, concerts of the Vienna Philharmonic, and four «Grammy» ceremonies. Among their projects are music videos for Shakira and the Netflix series «Wednesday».
Portman lights have also been used by many famous artists: Backstreet Boys, Cher, Bon Jovi, Ed Sheeran, Miley Cyrus, Shawn Mendes, Jonas Brothers, Lionel Richie, and The Prodigy. Their distinctive «honeycombs» (model P2 Hexaline) have appeared at major festivals, including Glastonbury, Open’er, Hellfest, PinkPop, Electrobeach, and Tinderbox, as well as at events for global brands and conferences.
