In recent days, walks around Gdańsk feel almost like a journey through time. The streets look as if they have been transported to the 1940s — all thanks to the set design for the new season of the series „Zatoka szpiegów”, which is being filmed in Gdańsk and Pomerania.
Filming for the third season of Zatoka Szpiegów began in Gdańsk in early May. The set then covered Chlebnicka Street, causing quite a stir among residents and tourists. Nazi symbols and German inscriptions appeared on the facades of tenement houses. Fortunately, these were just decorations, which were removed immediately after filming wrapped up.
A few days later, the film crew moved to Gdańsk’s Biskupia Górka, where buildings styled as German shops, bakeries, and vegetable stalls could be seen. The set design is very meticulous — everything corresponds to the realities of the era down to the smallest details.
