Polish police detained 123 people in a case involving materials of sexual violence against children

A total of 123 people have been detained across Poland — this is the result of an operation aimed at combating pedophilia. Four suspects are from the Pomorskie Voivodeship.

During the two-week operation, officers from the Central Bureau of Cybercrime searched 175 locations and seized around 1,500 devices — phones, computers, and data storage devices. They discovered 330,000 files containing materials related to sexual violence against children.

The suspects have been charged with possession and distribution of child pornography. Preventive measures have been applied without arrest: police supervision, bail, and a travel ban outside the country.

The operation involved 500 police officers and military gendarmerie.
