At Gdańsk Airport, the restriction on liquids up to 100 ml in hand luggage will be lifted starting in July

New rules for transporting liquids in hand luggage are gradually being introduced in the European Union. In Gdańsk, instead of the usual limit of 100 ml, passengers will be able to bring containers with a volume of up to 2 liters

The new rules are expected to significantly simplify air travel through Gdańsk Airport. Passengers will no longer have to transfer cosmetics into miniature containers or gather liquids in separate transparent bags before security checks. Instead of the 100 ml limit per container, it will be possible to transport up to 2 liters of liquid

In July, two modern scanners based on computed tomography will be installed at Gdańsk Airport for baggage inspection. They are expected to be operational by mid-July

These devices allow for viewing the contents of hand luggage in 3D format without requiring the extraction of liquids and electronics

As a result, the control procedure will become significantly faster and more comfortable for passengers, and the queues will be shorter. The installation and launch of the equipment are planned for July 2026. In the future, the airport plans to gradually expand the system to 12 such scanners.
