Starting from May 5, in Biedronka stores, you can return deposit containers and credit money to the mobile app – to the «e-wallet» account.
Plastic bottles, glass, and metal cans can be returned in three ways:
— at the checkout — receiving cash or a discount on purchases;
— through a recycling machine (a machine for accepting containers);
— through a recycling box — a cardboard container with a scanner.
The main innovation is that money for returns can be credited to the e-wallet in the Moja Biedronka app.
To ensure the funds go into the e-wallet, you need to scan the code from the app before completing the operation at the machine. This money is then used as a discount on future purchases. Note that identification by phone number or plastic card does not work. If the code is not scanned in time, the system will issue a paper voucher instead of crediting the funds.
The e-wallet icon is located in the upper right corner of the app. There you can check the balance, the validity period of the funds, and the return history.
The funds are valid for 30 days from the date of return, accumulate with each other, and expire after the deadline.
