The cause of the tragedy at Lake Salin could have been the behavior of a passenger

On May 1, a tragedy occurred on Lake Salin (Pomeranian Voivodeship). A small fishing boat with an electric motor capsized. As a result of the incident, two people died, and two were taken to the hospital.

The helmsman heard accusations of operating a watercraft under the influence of alcohol. The 33-year-old man admitted his guilt. He was not arrested but is under police supervision and is prohibited from contacting witnesses.

The prosecutor’s office is not disclosing details of the investigation; however, RMF FM has learned that one of the theories being considered suggests that the behavior of one of the passengers may have led to the capsizing of the boat.
