Tram driver in Gdańsk called the police due to a drunk passenger with a child

The tram driver in Gdańsk became concerned about the condition of one of her passengers. She decided to report it to the police. It turned out that the woman was intoxicated and had a 2.5-year-old child with her.

At around 1:30 PM, Gdańsk police received a report from the driver of one of the trams. As Mariusz Chrzanowski, a police press officer, told «Dziennik Bałtycki,» the driver noticed that a woman was traveling on the tram in an intoxicated state. Moreover, the passenger had a small child with her.

The police arrived at the scene. They entered the tram at the Bajana stop, near the «Zaspa» shopping center. The officers asked the woman to exit the vehicle and then conducted a breathalyzer test.

It turned out that her blood alcohol level was 1.8 per mille. The intoxicated woman was taken to a sobering-up center. The 2.5-year-old child was placed under the care of the father. The case will be handled by the family court.
