This is the first giraffe born both in our zoo and in Gdańsk — emphasized the director of the Gdańsk zoo, Emilia Salah. — We prepared for 15 months: we arranged the rooms that were to become the delivery ward, and we prepared the mother for a safe birth in advance. The giraffe was born naturally, without the intervention of veterinarians.
