Prices in popular resorts during the season can be truly shocking. Adrian, a culinary traveler, decided to check how much food, souvenirs, and entertainment cost today on the Polish coast.
Some joke that a vacation abroad is cheaper than a holiday on the Polish Baltic Sea. Is this really the case? Adrian Niyak, the author of the profile @podrozezesmakiem_ on Instagram, checked this. In his video, he showed how much money one needed to prepare to eat in coastal restaurants.
Yes, 100 grams of fried cod cost 21.90 zlotys, which is 219 zlotys per kilogram. Fish soup — 29 zlotys. Even the "budget" option in the form of a small kebab cost 28 zlotys
For many, a seaside holiday is associated with waffles. During the May holidays, one waffle with whipped cream cost 15 zlotys. A small portion of Italian ice cream was 10 zlotys, while desserts with toppings ranged from 28 to 45 zlotys. A vitamin cocktail for 20 zlotys looked like a better deal.
Not only the food could surprise with its prices. A plush toy in the shape of a dog cost around 84 zlotys. And renting a bicycle was 60 zlotys per day.
