International Film Festival in Sopot

From July 4 to 12, Sopot will once again become the cinematic capital of Polish summer. The 26th Sopot Film Festival will take place here — one of the largest film festivals in the country. The program includes over 100 films from around the world, three international competitions, prominent Polish premieres, and meetings with directors. Tickets and passes are already on sale.

International Street Theatre Festival FETA

From July 9 to 12, Gdańsk will host the International Festival of Street and Open Theatres FETA. From July 9 to 12, the city center and Reagana Park will transform into a living stage: 30 creative groups from Poland and other countries will present their performances. This year's theme is "Wędrówki w czasie" ("Time Travels")

The program features chamber, intimate stories and large-scale productions that combine movement theater, new circus, and performance art. Some performances are dedicated to the themes of old age and memory, the fragility of human experience, and the inevitability of the passage of time. Other works address socially significant issues: migration, identity, and tension in contemporary society.

Open-air cinema at the mole 

Starting July 1, a film festival under the open sky will kick off in Sopot — the longest summer film festival in Poland. Audiences can look forward to over 150 free film screenings and meetings with filmmakers in an unusual location: on the coast in Sopot.

Classical Music Festival

From July 4 to 11, the 16th International Music Festival NDI Sopot Classic will take place in Sopot. This year’s program includes movie hits at the Forest Opera, a city game, and a silent film screening with live music.

The Detective Literature Festival «Afera Kryminalna»

From July 8 to 11, the detective literature festival «Afera Kryminalna» will once again take place in Gdańsk — one of the oldest and most interesting genre literature festivals in Poland. This season’s novelty includes literary picnics and workshops with a profiler and a graphologist.

Instead of classic author meetings, the festival continues to focus on the format of literary duels (usually between two authors)

A separate block is dedicated to forensics. A thanatopractor will explain how a pathologist actually works and dispel popular myths from movies and TV shows. There will also be a workshop on graphology and document analysis. For children and teenagers, activities on finding traces and evidence have been prepared, while for adults, there will be sessions on psychological profiling.

Retro Car Rally

The retro car rally will once again take place in Gdańsk — this year under the slogan Retro Motorsport. The organizers promise the smell of gasoline, the roar of engines, and the atmosphere of automotive classics. Exhibition «Connected by Art»

On Saturday in Sopot, the fifth exhibition of the ArtDialog cycle "Sztuką połączeni" opens. This is a meeting of sculpture, collage, and painting — works by Gennady Yershov, Anastasia Spitsyna, and Wanda Yershova. The artists are connected by family ties, but each develops their own independent creative language; the exhibition is not about similarity, but about the diversity of three creative personalities united by a common value — art.

The exhibition can be visited on weekends until July 30, during which there will be meetings with artists and workshops. On July 30, there will be a finissage with a presentation of the joint work of artists and visitors created during the exhibition

Sopot Beach Rugby

World Congress of Kashubs

Gdynia will become the capital of the Kashubs for the 27th time — for the first time in 20 years, the city is hosting the World Congress of Kashubs, also coinciding with the 100th anniversary of Gdynia. The program includes music, a colorful parade, regional dishes, Kashubian handicrafts, family and sports activities on two stages in the city center.

Participants will arrive in the morning on special Transcassubia trains, after which there will be a ceremonial procession with a 100-meter Kashubian flag along the route ul. Starowiejska – ul. 3 Maja – the church of Najświętszego Serca Pana Jezusa. Next, there will be a solemn mass, the official opening of the congress, and a rich concert program on two stages, concluding the day with an outdoor performance "Kaszubski Kosmos" (Plac Grunwaldzki)

Exhibition "Nowe męskości w polskiej sztuce XXI wieku"

The exhibition is dedicated to images of masculinity in 21st-century art and shows how the perception of male identity has changed — from criticism of the "macho" stereotype and patriarchal norms to contemporary images of a caring, emotional, and reflective man. The exhibition touches on themes of fatherhood, crises, loneliness, digital culture, and various forms of masculinity. Folk Festival «Dźwięki Północy»

In July, Gdańsk will host the 38th festival «Dźwięki Północy» («Sounds of the North») — one of the oldest and most important folk festivals in Poland and the only event in the country dedicated to the musical traditions of the Baltic Sea region. The festival takes place every two years and offers an immersion in Baltic sounds through chamber concerts, workshops, and performances on an unusual stage under Gothic arches. This year, 6 concerts are planned featuring artists from Poland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Estonia.

Magic vs Science

Is magic real, or is it all about science? The audience is invited to an energetic and fun scientific showdown where a magician and a scientist will face off. Both use the same materials, but each in their own way — the magician will present them as wonders, while the scientist will explain them from a physics perspective. The audience will have to decide for themselves: is what looks like magic just a clever illusion, or can science itself perform real magic?

Depeche Mode Party

For fans of Depeche Mode, a special party is being prepared with the atmosphere of the legendary band. The program includes the main hits of DM, solo projects of the members, covers, and music in the style of the 80s, synth-pop, and new romanticism. Guests can expect 6 hours of music, a large dance floor, Depeche Mode-themed decorations, visual effects, music videos, and concert fragments. The organization is handled by Jaca Music Events, which has been hosting themed parties in honor of the band since 2015.

Letnie Wieczory Taneczne z Widokiem na Morze

Summer dance evenings are returning to the terraces of the Sheraton hotel in Sopot, right across from the Sopot pier. The event harks back to traditions, as dance tea parties and dances were held on the terraces here several decades ago. The evenings will take place several times over the summer: June 20, July 10, July 24, August 15, and August 28.

Theater by the Sea 

During the summer holidays, Teatr Miejski in Gdynia steps outside its building, with the main stage traditionally set up on the beach in Orłowo. The season will kick off with the premiere of “Batory. Transatlantyckie love story” directed by Michał Walczak. One of Poland’s most renowned playwrights and directors will take the audience on a wild journey — filled with music, absurdity, irony, and the atmosphere of a night flight where anything can go wrong. It’s a story about dreams of distant travels, summer fantasies, and adventures that linger in memory for a long time.

Cinema at Szekspir: on the roof with a view of Gdańsk

Ferry to the Vistula Spit

Since May 1, the ferry from Gdańsk's Świbno to Mikoszewo in the Stegna municipality has resumed operations. This is a convenient and quick way to get from Gdańsk towards Krynica Morska, shortening the route by 23 kilometers

From May 1 to September 30, the ferry operates daily from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Under standard conditions, departures occur every 30 minutes. However, during peak hours, the service switches to continuous operation to transport all interested passengers. The specified time refers to departures from the Świbno side.

Approximate rates for the 2026 season:
— passenger car — 30 zlotys (for locals — 15 zlotys, passengers included);
— camper or minibus — 35 zlotys (for locals — 17.5 zlotys);
— motorcycle — 15 zlotys (for locals — 7.5 zlotys);
