In Gdańsk and the surrounding areas, the summer season of outdoor film screenings is starting. The program includes documentary premieres, festival films, and classics, with screenings taking place in a variety of locations: from industrial spaces to the roof of a theater and the port districts of the city.

The summer movie screening season at 100czni started in May. The repertoire appears every week.

Kino na Szekspirowskim: na dachu z widokiem na Gdańsk
In a few weeks, one of the most famous summer film projects in the city will kick off — Kino na Szekspirowskim, taking place on the roof of Teatr Szekspirowski
This is already the 11th season of the project, which is considered unique for Poland: the shows take place on the terrace of the theater and offer viewers a panorama of old Gdańsk from the rooftops
The format is inspired by New York's rooftop cinema — movie screenings on building rooftops. In the Gdańsk version, this is the only permanent summer cinema of its kind in the country
The program includes films awarded at Berlinale, Cannes, Sundance, and Venice, as well as winners of the Oscar, BAFTA, Golden Globe, and European Film Award. All films are shown in their original version with Polish subtitles

Summer Cinema in Orłowo
On Monday, June 29, the new season of the most beautiful summer cinema in Gdynia — "Letni Kino w Orłowie" — kicks off. Screenings take place every Monday and Tuesday at the Summer Stage of the City Theatre and are very popular
As in previous years, the evening screenings will be dedicated to the best films of recent years, awarded at the Cannes Film Festival, Berlinale, Venice, as well as the Oscars and the European Film Academy Awards. A total of 14 screenings are planned for the summer.

Cinema in the districts of Gdynia
Outdoor movie screenings have begun in the districts of Gdynia as part of «Kino Dzielnicowe #wGdyni». This year, the program includes 56 free screenings that will take place from the end of June to the end of September in ten districts of the city.
This year, the shows will take place in the districts: Chwarzno-Wiczlino, Cisowa, Dąbrowa, Karwiny, Obłuże, Oksywie, Pogórze, Mały Kack, Wzgórze Św. Maksymiliana, and Pustki Cisowskie-Demptowo.
Almost every Friday and Saturday of the summer, screenings will take place simultaneously in two locations.

Cinema at Młynówka Pond
This summer in the Oliwa district, a series of free open-air movie screenings titled "Kino u Mielniczego stawu" is taking place. Audiences can look forward to cozy evenings in nature, family-friendly films, and a neighborhood picnic atmosphere
Before each film, audiences will be greeted with short five-minute lectures as part of the educational project «Oliwa in the Frame.» Local historians, public figures, and representatives of cultural institutions will talk about the history of the Oliwa district, the Młynski pond, and the forest hill Pachołek.
Although there will be sun loungers on the site, guests are invited to bring their own blankets and picnic baskets

Summer at the Patio in GCF
On July 4th, the seventh edition of the Lato na Patio cycle will kick off at the Gdyńskie Centrum Filmowe. The summer cultural festival will last throughout July and August: the red patio of the center at Plac Grunwaldzki will once again become a meeting, relaxation, and creativity spot for the residents of Trójmiasto and tourists.
