Installation of the Museum of the Moon

From June 23 to July 4, an unusual art installation Museum of the Moon can be seen at Centrum św. Jana. Within the walls of this Gothic architectural monument, a seven-meter model of the Moon, created by British artist Luke Jerram based on real NASA images, will be displayed.

Sea Parade of Ships

An impressive parade of ships and a demonstration of rescue operations will take place in Gdynia. Among the participants are the modernized patrol units SG-301 Generał Józef Haller, the rescue vessel Kapitan Poinc, the Turbolet L-410 aircraft, and other maritime service vessels.

The vessels Zodiak II and Konstelacja will be open for visits on Friday (June 26) from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The vessel SG-301 Generał Józef Haller will be open on Saturday (June 27) from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. All of them will be docked at Nabrzeże Pomorskie.

Theater by the Sea 

During the summer holidays, Teatr Miejski in Gdynia steps outside its building, with the main stage traditionally set up on the beach in Orłowo. The season will kick off with the premiere of “Batory. Transatlantyckie love story” directed by Michał Walczak. One of the most renowned Polish playwrights and directors will take the audience on a wild journey — filled with music, absurdity, irony, and the atmosphere of a night flight where anything can go awry. It’s a story about dreams of distant travels, summer fantasies, and adventures that linger in memory for a long time.

Cudawianki Festival 2026

Cudawianki — an annual festival in Gdynia that symbolically opens the summer season. It refers to the tradition of Noc Kupaly.

The program includes Park Cudów on Bulwar Nadmorski (12:00–18:00) with wreath weaving, workshops, and attractions, as well as the Food Cuda food zone

In the evening, concerts are scheduled: Subbamboo & Leszek Możdżer, Artur Rojek, Fisz Emade Tworzywo. More details here

Kino na Szekspirowskim: na dachu z widokiem na Gdańsk

This weekend in Gdańsk, a new season of one of the most atmospheric summer projects — Kino na Szekspirowskim — kicks off. For the 11th time, screenings will take place on the roof of the Teatr Szekspirowski with a view of the old town.

The format is inspired by rooftop cinema in New York and remains unique to Poland. The program includes festival hits and winners of the largest film awards

Ukrainian-language tour at the Wybrzeże Theatre

During the International Conference on the Reconstruction of Ukraine (URC 2026) in Gdańsk, Teatr Wybrzeże will open its doors. On June 25, a special tour in Ukrainian will take place here.

Guests can expect a journey behind the scenes: the theatrical dungeon, closed service areas, and everything that is usually hidden from the audience's view. The duration of the tour is about 1.5 hours

Sea Festival 

The Sea Festival kicks off in Gdynia — ten days of events that bring together maritime traditions, sailing sports, concerts, and family programs. The festival takes place throughout the city: in the port, on the water, and across the city.

From June 27 to 28, the LEGO Football Truck will be operating near Forum Gdańsk — a mobile space dedicated to football. Visitors will be able to see new LEGO football sets, build models themselves, and participate in themed activities for the whole family

Gdańsk Improvisation Theatre Festival BULAJ

Audiences will see improvised versions of ancient tragedies, performances in the style of Slavic fairy tales, science fiction, and comedic stories about vampires. The main stage will be complemented by a night program featuring original interdisciplinary projects.

In addition to performances, there will be Improkonferencja — the only event in Poland entirely dedicated to improvisational theater: panel discussions, round tables, workshops, and seminars

Day of the Navy

The festive day will begin with a parade of shipbuilders, military sailors, and partners (starting at 10:30 from ul. Armii Krajowej 46, the route will go through the streets of 3 Maja, 10 Lutego, Skwer Kościuszki, and al. Jana Pawła II)

After the parade, the Shipbuilding and Fleet Town will open with pavilions of maritime companies, stands of the Navy, a children's area (bouncy castles, games, and entertainment), a stage with concerts, as well as military buckwheat and grilling

Visitors will be able to see the ships of the Polish Navy at the pier and the shipyard exhibition. There will also be zones for the Arka Gdynia clubs (football, basketball, rugby) and the distribution of commemorative souvenirs.

Montownia’s Birthday

Three days of concerts, parties, and a joint celebration in the heart of Gdańsk

On Friday, June 26, at 8:30 PM, ROSALIE will perform.

Theatre in Cinema: National Theatre Live  on the big screen

The second series of the «Teatr w Kinie» project, featuring screenings of National Theatre Live, is starting at the Gdynia cinema center. This is an opportunity to see performances from the British National Theatre on the big screen — in the cinema.

Performances featuring leading British actors and directors are planned, bringing the atmosphere of world theater stages straight to the cinema. On Saturday, June 27, there will be a screening of "All My Sons," directed by Ivo van Hove.

Rituals Summer Zone

MTB Eliminator World Cup Stage

Gdynia will host the MTB Eliminator World Cup stage for the first time — one of the most dynamic disciplines of mountain biking in an urban environment

The best riders in the world will compete on a track approximately 500 meters long in the area of Molo Południowe and Skwer Kościuszki. The races take place in a sprint elimination format — with four participants, where speed, technique, and the struggle for advancement to the next round are decisive.

Night Bike Ride

Participants will embark on a night bike ride through Gdynia to see the city from an unusual perspective and ride along the streets and bike paths illuminated by streetlights

Dreams of Gdynia – contemporary art festival 

A contemporary art festival dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Gdynia. Exhibitions and artistic projects are located in urban spaces and experimental venues.

Contemporary art exhibitions will be hosted in pop-up spaces throughout the center of Gdynia and will be available until September 27. The project involves around 40 artists

The program includes exhibitions, as well as more than 30 accompanying events: walks, discussions, and workshops. The schedule is available on the official website of the festival.

The legendary 11-hour cruise on the Elbląg Canal is returning — one of the most unusual water routes in Europe. After a 15-year break, tourists will once again be able to travel from Elbląg to Ostróda. More here.

Ferris Wheel

In Gdańsk, on the island of Ołowianka, the AmberSky Ferris wheel has reopened — one of the city's most popular tourist attractions. The updated structure, standing about 60 meters tall, is now open to visitors and has begun operating in a new format

A new season of the fair opens in front of the Oddział Etnografii MNG in Oliwa Park. Free museums in Gdańsk, Sopot, and Gdynia

Ferry to the Vistula Spit

Since May 1, the ferry from Gdańsk’s Świbno to Mikoszewo in the Stegna municipality has resumed operations. This is a convenient and fast way to get from Gdańsk towards Krynica Morska, shortening the route by 23 kilometers.

From May 1 to September 30, the ferry operates daily from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Under standard conditions, departures occur every 30 minutes. However, during peak hours, the service switches to continuous operation to transport all interested passengers. The specified time refers to departures from the Świbno side.

Estimated rates for the 2026 season:
— passenger car — 30 zł (for locals — 15 zł, passengers included);
— camper or minibus — 35 zł (for locals — 17.5 zł);
— motorcycle — 15 zł (for locals — 7.5 zł);
