In the Tarnawa-Kolonia area (Lublin Voivodeship), a crater approximately 10 meters in diameter was discovered at night. Local residents reported a loud bang, and around four in the morning, alarm sirens were heard in Lublin and Krasnystaw.
According to the Operational Command of the Armed Forces of Poland, an unidentified object was detected in Polish airspace at approximately 03:40. F-16s were scrambled to intercept it, but a few minutes later, the target disappeared from radar. A Mi-24 helicopter indicated the area of the probable crash — the vicinity of Tarnawa-Kolonia.
The crater is located in a field about 1.5 km from the nearest buildings. The area is cordoned off, and firefighters, police, and military specialists are on site.
Prime Minister Donald Tusk stated that one of the considered versions is the Russian X-101 missile, but emphasized that final conclusions will be drawn only after the completion of the examination
