A drunk 32-year-old man was riding a scooter and crashed at high speed into a Mazda car, to which he did not yield. He fell from the impact and lay motionless on the ground
Witnesses immediately called emergency services, reporting that the scooter driver was unconscious. However, when the man heard that the police were on their way, he suddenly came to, got up, and, staggering, ran towards the beach.
Thanks to video recordings and photographs provided by witnesses, the police in Ustka quickly identified him and found the 32-year-old man just a few minutes later — he was clearly drunk and barely able to stand
The man spent the night in a police cell. He will soon be charged with driving under the influence and creating a threat to road safety. His further fate will be decided by the court, said junior officer Amadeusz Galus from the city police headquarters in Słupsk.
