A drunken 32-year-old man was riding a scooter and crashed into a Mazda at high speed, failing to yield. He fell from the impact and lay motionless on the ground
Witnesses immediately called emergency services, reporting that the scooter driver was unconscious. However, when the man heard that the police were on their way, he suddenly regained consciousness, got up, and stumbled away towards the beach.
Thanks to video recordings and photographs provided by witnesses, police officers from Ustka quickly identified him and found the 32-year-old man just a few minutes later — he was clearly intoxicated and barely able to stand.
The man spent the night in a police cell. He will soon face charges for operating a vehicle under the influence and creating a threat to road safety. His further fate will be decided by the court, — reported junior officer Amadeusz Galus from the city police headquarters in Słupsk.
