The popular Polish culinary blogger Książulo (Szymon Nyczke) published a video review of his stay at Hotel Gołębiewski in Pobierowo on the Baltic Sea. The material sparked a flood of comments on social media, but the main issue was the temperature collapse in the nearly five thousand zloty per night apartments
The hotel began its operations in test mode on June 10. Room prices during the summer season turned out to be very high: from 1,500 to 5,000 zloty per night on weekends. The blogger decided to test the new hotel.

When Książulo returned to the room in the evening, the air temperature exceeded 30 degrees, despite the air conditioning being on and the balcony doors closed. The blogger recorded consecutive measurements on video: in the living area 28–30 degrees, in the bedroom over 31 degrees, then over 32 degrees. According to Nyczke, the situation was «almost unbearable.»
The staff initially hesitated to intervene with a technician. When the mechanic finally appeared in the apartment, he explained that the system «cannot cope» with extreme temperatures and intense sunlight. The administration did not offer an effective alternative of moving to another room, as similar problems were reported in other parts of the complex.
The blogger filed a complaint and left early. He was refunded for his stay, but he paid separately for meals.
The video also criticizes the Monsoon restaurant. The blogger noted that the battered shrimp looked greasy and overloaded, the pad thai was disappointing, and the room service came with a bill of 315 zloty. Książulo emphasized that he had not encountered such high surcharges for food delivery in other hotels.
Following this situation, Hotel Gołębiewski issued a statement emphasizing that such incidents should not occur, and the technical team has already taken action to address the air conditioning issues. Additionally, it became known that Książulo received a refund.
— Each justified complaint is considered individually by us. In the case of Książulo, we refunded the cost of the stay, acknowledging the complaint as justified, although we leave the final conclusions after viewing the video to the viewers, — representatives stated.
Later, the YouTuber spoke about the conflict with the Gołębiewski hotel chain, stating that he received an internal company document. According to him, it contained a proposal to add him and his companions to the list of undesirable guests in all hotels in the chain after the critical review of the new facility in Pobierowo.
The document also stated that staff were prohibited from discussing such cases with guests, and decisions should be made by hotel management. Any filming or publication of materials about the hotels would require approval from the administration.
To verify the information, Książulo attempted to book a room in one of the hotels in the chain but was refused. An employee explained this as a "violation of stay rules," without going into details, which, according to the blogger, confirmed his suspicions about the authenticity of the document
