In 2027, the minimum wage in Poland will increase to 4986 zł brutto

The Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Policy of Poland recommends setting the minimum wage at 4986 zł gross starting in 2027, with an hourly rate of 32.60 zł. This represents an increase of 180 zł (3.7%) and 1.20 zł (3.8%).

The agency notes that this amount is approximately 50% of the projected average salary in 2027 (9971 zł) and insists that this principle should be maintained going forward.

The final proposal will be sent by the government to the Social Dialogue Council, where employers, trade unions, and the cabinet will negotiate for 30 days. If an agreement is not reached, the government will make the decision, and the minimum wage will be approved by September 15.

Trade Unions Demand More

The trade unions NSZZ “Solidarność”, OPZZ, and FZZ propose raising the minimum wage to 5200 zł gross — an increase of more than 8%. They believe this is necessary to protect the standard of living amid rising prices.

Employers, on the other hand, insist on a more moderate increase tied to inflation and economic indicators.
